Meeting agreed standards
Accreditation helps participants demonstrate that SEAF spokes meet agreed operational standards through externally assured certification.
Rather than relying on a single certification, SEAF uses a layered approach to assurance.
This system aligns with the framework of the International Data Spaces Association (IDSA):
- SEAF’s Data Space Capability Layer is informed by the IDSA Rulebook as a technical alignment framework rather than as an accreditation requirement
- IDSA alignment does not import European legal frameworks or imply that IDSA governance structures are automatically adopted
Accreditation strengthens confidence in the system while allowing it to adapt as needs evolve.
